Time flies when you are staying busy! Louis has been up to A LOT since our last post.
He's had lots of visitors including a three week visit from his Nana, a weekend with his Aunt from Detroit, another weekend with his cousin from NYC, and one night with friends from Chicago. Louis LOVES to socialize!
He dressed up as a pumpkin and went to a pumpkin patch to celebrate his first Halloween.
His mom and dad hosted a family Thanksgiving at their house and Louis got lots of quality playing time in with his three little cousins that live nearby.
Louis had his first two (!) illnesses in the month of November- a fever/rash virus and a tummy bug. Luckily, he was a champ and is fully recovered from both.
Louis discovered a serious love for the swings and slides at the playground!
Louis had a couple rounds of casting on his feet recently as he was losing some range of motion in his ankles. He will likely have to wear the boots and bar orthosis (the same orthotic that is used on kids with club feet) at bedtime to help maintain the range of motion in his ankles to help as he learns to walk.
Speaking of walking, his home physical therapist was able to track down a gait trainer for Louis to borrow and he is already able to walk about 50 feet (check out the videos below). We are hoping Louis can get his own gait trainer soon!
Next up on the docket, Louis is going to spend Christmas and New Years in Michigan! In January, he will have all sorts of appointments as he will be turning ONE YEAR OLD! Where has the time gone?!
