Louis had a busy summer outdoors!
His mom and dad finally busted out the hiking baby carrier and we've all enjoyed some trails around Northern Colorado. Right now, Louis enjoys about a 2.5-3 mile hike before he needs to get out of the pack and scoot!
We took a trip to Glenwood Springs with friends to spend some time in the mountains. Louis soaked in the hot springs, watched his dad fish in the river, and ate plenty of ice cream!
Louis and his parents also rented an RV and took their first family camping trip. There was a little rain but Louis really enjoyed spending all day outside (and playing in the dirt.)
Also, Louis has started aquatic physical therapy so that he can work on building his strength and flexibility in the pool!
We are continuing to work and play hard here in Colorado! We also have a bit of news we want to share- Louis will be having surgery on his knees in November at the Paley Institute in Florida. We will remain there for six weeks after his procedure for physical therapy and follow up appointments with the overall goal to increase the range of motion in his knees! His parents are a little nervous but very hopeful and excited to work with a team that dedicates their practice to rare pediatric orthopedic conditions like arthrogryposis!
